I have a preference for posting the happy stuff. So the lack of postings could be a clue to our regular reader that things around here have been, well, less than happy. For starters, Mike's dad fell up steps while entering the building of the gym this week and broke his foot! Even worse, it's his right foot, so he can't drive! Even worse still, the type of fracture is called a lisfranc fracture and, although the orthopedic surgeon said he would try to see if it would heal with the just a cast, he's not optimistic. Mike's dad might still need to have surgery on his foot. We'll find out at his follow-up appointment on March 9th. We'd ALL like to see him avoid the surgery. So this injury creates a lot of problems, not only for Mike's dad, but for us as a family unit. It has not been a fun week, nor is the outlook on the next 6 to 8 weeks fun on that front.
Camille is doing well. As I write this she is upstairs napping after another successful ice skating session. No doubt about it, she loves to ice skate. Earlier this week she asked Mimi if she wanted to come up to our house to ice skate. She said "Mimi, do you know how to ice skate? I can teach you!" (Mind you this is coming from a child who has been on the ice less than 1/2 a dozen times) What a character!
So, I'm happy it's March. But, we're supposed to get a big snow storm tonight... I'm certainly not happy about that!
