Away

Camille and I have been away at summer camp. We both volunteered at a camp for blind and visually impaired children this past week. We had an awesome time and I will post photo soon, but we are both very tired and plan to spend the weekend recovering! Check back soon! Thanks!

Five-year-old Princess Party!

Today we had a princess party for our 5 year old. The menu, designed by the birthday princess, was pepperoni pizza, Jersey sweet corn and powdered sugar mini doughnuts! We had an amazing princess cake (see below) homemade by my good friend and coworker, Erin Simek... delicious! There were lots of presents and a good time was had by all!

Another right

Today is Camille's last day of Friend's Camp. Monday is Camille's 5th Birthday. Since she has a summer birthday, she will never be able to enjoy that right I always enjoyed of bringing something to school to share with her friends in class. So, we discussed bringing cupcakes to celebrate her birthday at camp today. It meant making cupcakes for the entire Mighty Munchkins Camp and that's a lot of kids, but I really love Camille, so I asked her what she'd like to do. She jumped on the opportunity, of course, and asked for vanilla cupcakes (which she calls "pupcakes") with purple icing, red sprinkes and rings. I found sparkling princess rings for the girls and compass rings for the boys. It was a labor of love, because I really hate to bake, but here's a small sample of the final product. I hope they taste as yummy as they look!

Happy 5th birthday Camille! Enjoy your special day! Love, Mommy.

August... already?

I can't believe it's aready August! Still harder to believe is that my baby will be five-years-old in just 2 weeks! FIVE! I can hardly stand it! No longer a baby (not that she's been a baby for quite some time...) no longer a toddler or pre-schooler, but officially a KID! A little girl! She is very proud and happy. I loved my four-year-old. She was fun and I will miss her. And I welcome my five-year-old. I am looking forward to discovering new things together. I think it will be an exciting year. Here's what's on tap:

  • Kindergarten at St. Rose
  • Ballet I
  • Chinese Kindergarten at Carusi MS
  • St. Rose School Play
