Hershey Park

Camille and I went to Hershey Park for their Halloween festivities with Hannah and her mommy. Hannah's mommy made the Three Blind Mice costumes for the costume contest at Hershey Park and the three of them won best group! Here's a sampling of the fun!

Halloween Pre-Boo!

Just a week to go before Halloween. Here's a preview of Miss Camille in her one-of-a-kind FAIRY PRINCESS costume... Mimi made it and Camille adores wearing it! Thank you, Mimi!

Old Blue Eyes

I think our bed time routine is pretty standard. Cami gets a bath and lotion then PJs, she brushes her teeth while I brush her hair. Then we go upstairs and read a story. After the story I turn on her CD player, turn out the light, give her one more kiss goodnight and leave the room.

Cami's bedtime CD as been the same since she came home from China. It's a CD of the Beijing Children's Choir singing Chinese lullabies. It's the only music she has ever had a bedtime and it's perfect for lulling her to sleep.

The other night, just before I turned out the light, I asked Cami if she wanted music. She said "yes", so I started the CD. Immediately, Cami said "No Mommy! Not that music! I want Frank 'anatra!" I was blown away.

Daddy did some research and found a Frank Sinatra CD with a lot of 'sleepy time' type music. Now Cami can fall asleep to Frank. Not a bad choice...

Friday Family FotoFun Challenge - Fall Fun

Well, the FFFFC is a bit more of a challenge for us this year because, while the calendar says it's fall, the weather here hasn't quite caught up yet! It's still 80 degrees F and sunny... muggy most days. The leaves are still on the trees and it really doesn't feel like fall at all! Here is a sampling of fall photos from last year... I think the last one is my favorite!

Busy, busy, busy...

We've been so busy it's been hard to find the time to post. It's been hard to find the time to do anything we enjoy doing. Our house went on the market a little over a week ago. We've had a couple of offers, but nothing that has been 'acceptable' yet. I think it's the whole buyers market mentality. I guess some buyers take that to mean a seller should just 'give away' the house. It's been a tremendous amount of work to get our place ready to show and it's been some work keeping it that way. We have another showing tonight... a couple who saw the house on Sunday is coming back for a second look.

Camille is now in dance class on Monday nights, rather than Saturday mornings. The Saturday morning teacher quit. Being new to the who 'dance class' thing, I didn't really know what to expect and I guess I thought the Saturday class was 'normal'. Well, let me tell you... compared to the Monday evening class, the Saturday class just stunk! The Monday dance class teacher is absolutely fabulous and, for the first time, Camille said "I want to go back and do that again!" The Monday teacher is gentle but firm, maintains control, teaches dance and makes it really fun!

So that's the latest update from the house of Cami.
