A Rose by any other name...

We found a new school. There were 2 kindergarten seats available and we were able to secure one of them. The news is bitter-sweet. We are glad to have found a great school and secured a seat, but we are still sad about the situation with the other school. At mass on Sunday, our priest, Father Ed, said that any time a Catholic school closes it's doors it is like a death in the parish family. I think he is right.

So this fall, sight unseen, Camille will become a "Rose." The school administration has been gracious and very helpful, already offering to put us in touch with other school families over the summer, but we are close to other families who have children who are enrolled in this school as well. Interestingly, this school was Michael's first choice, but not mine, because it's location was not walking distance from our house as was the original school that has been closed.

We will move forward, again with enthusiasm and excitement as we get closer to the fall. For now we will focus on enjoying the upcoming summer activities... the trips to the shore, water parks, summer camp, cookouts, spending time with family and friends.

Thanks Aunt Kris. I can't believe it either. I can't believe she will be 5 years old in August... Where did the time go? What happened to the tiny frail baby we brought home from China last week? Where did this strong, independent, confident, outgoing, bright, talented, shining star come from? How on Earth did I get so lucky? What did I do to deserve her? :)
