Camille continues to do well. Just last night she was invited to join the competition team at her dance school. It's still had to believe she's been dancing for FIVE years! Her teacher feels that she's got a lot of talent in ballet and jazz and could be a strong competitor. I wish I could say that I am as enthusiastic about it. I love that Camille loves to dance. I totally support that. She enjoys it... it's just fun for her. I'm worried that competition dance could ruin the fun. I guess I just don't want Camille to feel like she has to dance to win titles and trophies. At the same time, if she does have real talent, I don't want to hold her back. She's still so young. Fortunately, the competition season is already underway, so Camille wouldn't start practicing with the team until June, for next year's competition season, so we have some time to think about it.
